James Miles had trials at Blackburn FC and Bury FC in England. He played for multiple clubs in the North West Counties League and had trials with professional clubs before playing semi-professionally for Marine AFC Academy. After coming to America, he played for Snow College, winning a region conference tournament, and then transferred to Westminster University. In USL2, James played for the Utah Red Wolves, winning their conference, and is now playing for Salt City SC.

James is passionate about working with players to develop their skills and IQ for use in games. As a coach, he emphasizes the importance of striking technique and body use, believing these skills differentiate good players from elite ones. He focuses on knowing when to use precision over power and how to use the body to gain an advantage on the pitch.
